THE COMPANY
fabia has been an Austrian coffee tradition from the very beginning. The Winkler company from Linz registered the brand in order to enter the coffee trade in addition to trading in spices. At the beginning of the 1980s, the company moved to Hallwang and built its own coffee roasting plant. Since then, fabia has been firmly anchored at its current location.
In 1983, Massimo Zanetti finally bought the company in order to lay the foundations for the global expansion of his Segafredo Zanetti company from Austria. From the very beginning, however, he attached great importance to the fabia brand retaining its own identity as a premium Austrian brand. Since then, the two great coffee traditions have lived together under the umbrella of Segafredo Zanetti Austria Ges.m.b.H.
