215 degrees. This is the maximum temperature that we allow our fabia coffee to reach during the gentle drum roasting process. The special thing about Viennese roasting is the time the coffee is given to roast. The beans are brought to the right temperature very slowly so that the roasted aromas can develop in the best possible way. The color of the roasted bean is also not as intense as with other roasting methods, which is also an indication of the particularly gentle and careful long-term roasting. Time is also the criterion after roasting. The roasted bean is given plenty of time to rest, mature and gain in flavor. fabia has been an Austrian coffee tradition from the very beginning. The Winkler company from Linz registered the brand in order to enter the coffee trade in addition to trading in spices. At the beginning of the 1980s, the company moved to Hallwang and built its own coffee roasting plant. Since then, fabia has been firmly established at its current location. Segafredo Zanetti finally bought the company in 1983, but attached great importance to the fabia brand retaining its own identity as a premium Austrian brand. Since then, the two great coffee traditions have lived together under one roof. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As an Austrian premium coffee brand, fabia also stands for traditional craftsmanship. In our manufactory in Hallwang, a small, hand-picked team of highly trained specialists is entrusted with the production of the fabia coffee range. What they all have in common is a love of coffee and craftsmanship. Many steps are still carried out by hand today, even though coffee production is carried out according to the highest quality criteria and certified IFS standards. It is still a special moment when a delivery of green coffee arrives in Hallwang from the best coffee-growing regions in the world. The green coffee is unloaded by hand, the predominantly Arabica and Robusta beans are carefully stored and carefully filled into the roasting drum. Gently roasted, the beans are first given time to rest and mature so that the full aroma can develop. At the very end, we pack the fine end product in our high-quality aroma protection packaging, which, with its exclusive design, beautifully conveys the high quality of our manufacture to our customers. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
